Retail Store Management Trainee - 2174

We are seeking a Retail Store Management Trainee with a minimum of six months of store management experience to fast-track into a Store Management position. This role is ideal for external retail assistant managers and store managers.

Pay

$13.00 to $22.00 per hour, plus commission based on productivity and store performance. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $14.24 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing their issues promptly.
• Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring asset protection procedures are followed.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, and securing customer loans.
• Administer store processes and procedures, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and enterprise-level reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
• Communicate store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Work with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of retail management experience.
• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; 45+ hours per week based on business needs.
• Computer literate with ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission Plan
