About the role

We're looking for an ambitious Store Management Trainee to join our team! As a Store Management Trainee, you'll work alongside store leadership to learn the day-to-day operations of the business while developing the skills needed to lead a successful team. You'll gain experience in customer service, employee development, inventory management, store operations, and business performance while working with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, electronics, tools, and more.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and help create a customer-focused environment
• Learn and support all aspects of daily store operations
• Assist with coaching, training, and developing team members
• Support recruiting and talent development efforts
• Open and close the store while following asset protection and cash handling procedures
• Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and store presentation
• Help drive store performance by supporting sales, loan, and profitability goals
• Learn how to analyze business results and support operational decision-making
• Monitor loan and buying transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Build product knowledge across a wide variety of merchandise categories
• Complete management training and development assignments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Previous leadership, key-holder, supervisory, or management experience preferred

Skills

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Comfortable working with a variety of merchandise (firearms in FFL locations; certification provided)
• Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Basic math and computer skills; experience with retail point-of-sale systems is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas

Pay

Store Management Trainees earn $14.50 - $17.00 per hour, with commission up to 8% based on individual performance and additional bonus opportunities based on overall store performance.

Schedule

Most stores operate 9AM–6PM; many are closed Sundays.
