Retail Store Lead - Visual Merchandising
About the role
The Retail Team Lead – Visual Merchandising is a part-time seasonal position for the 2026-27 NBA season based at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA. The candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile events and NBA games.
Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Leadership with managing the Retail Flagship and In-Arena retail locations, serving as a floor leader who drives both team performance and visual presentation standards.
- Create and execute seasonal floor sets, mannequin styling, product displays, and fixture layouts in alignment with brand guidelines and seasonal direction.
- Create and maintain visual merchandising standards, planograms, and display guides to ensure consistent brand presentation across all locations.
- Supervise, train, and coach retail teammates in customer service, product knowledge, sales techniques, and visual merchandising standards.
- Oversee product flow from receiving to the sales floor, ensuring back stock is organized, labeled, and accessible for efficient replenishment; maintain proper inventory levels and ensure restocking is completed in a timely manner to keep the floor shoppable and full at all times.
- Drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and product knowledge; monitor floor presentation throughout each shift and address any deviations from visual standards.
Qualifications
- Retail experience, including visual merchandising; sports or lifestyle retail preferred.
- Customer service and team leadership experience.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and creative vision with an understanding of retail design principles, color theory, and spatial composition.
- Ability to translate brand direction into compelling physical retail environments and execute visual standards with consistency.
- Ability to think strategically, problem solve, and multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while collaborating effectively within a team and across departments.
- Ability to communicate visual concepts clearly to teammates, leadership, and cross-functional partners, both verbally and in writing.
Essential Functions of the Job (Physical Requirements & Working Conditions)
- Ability to lift/move boxes, fixtures, and props weighing up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, or remain in a stationary position for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead and horizontally as needed to perform job duties.
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs and work safely at various heights, including top of stairways, when required.
- Ability to work in confined or enclosed spaces, including elevators, when required.
- Ability to move throughout the venue quickly and safely during events.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and supervisors in person and through radio or other communication devices.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor work may include exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, humidity, and direct sunlight.
- Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels, crowds, and vibration typical of live sporting events and entertainment venues.
- Ability to work in crowded environments with frequent interaction with guests and team members.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts based on business needs.
Pay
$25.00 per hour.
