Retail Store Gas/Pump Manager

About the role

This position is responsible for assisting the store manager and providing excellent customer service while fueling vehicles with requested fuel grades by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

• Train new gas attendants.
• Complete daily DEQ inspection and maintain daily DEQ reporting requirements.
• Afford adherence and compliance with established policies, procedures, and processes.
• Maintain inventory in beverage displays.
• Assist with vendor relations.
• Greet customers, answer questions and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Activate pumps and fill customers' fuel tanks with correct grade and amount of fuel and providing receipts of sales.
• Handle all payments transactions with customers, mainly credit card transactions and directing all other forms of payment to Cashier.
• Report all maintenance concerns.
• Dispense propane for customers (may not be applicable at all stations).
• Perform assigned cleaning responsibilities, such as washing windshields.
• Report any suspicious activity to direct supervisor and authorities, if needed.
• Ensure punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Respectfully take direction from supervisor / district coordinator.
• Maintain Chevron Customer First Standards.
• Closes store when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience and/or training in fuel/gas station environment is required.
• One year of related experience and/or training in management, assistant management or supervisory role is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers to type or dial, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing.
• Sometimes stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to moderate noise levels.
