Retail Store Associate (Seasonal)
As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our continued success in today's retail landscape. As an entry-level Store Associate, you will receive training in technology and print products/services to ensure you can assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions and contribute to business growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, exceptional service, and operational excellence. Periodic comprehensive background checks may be required.
Responsibilities
- Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
- Utilizes the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services.
- Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
- Consistently maintains store and print department appearance according to company guidelines, ensuring a neat, clean, and well-stocked environment.
- Adheres to all standards related to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
- Follows established sorting and stocking guidelines and completes freight processes.
- Ensures the freight sorting area is organized and set up according to guidelines.
- Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.
- Develops personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools, including completion of Tech, Print, and other applicable training.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No previous experience required; retail sales experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
- Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions.
- Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $9.06/hr to $11.66/hr. All state and local minimum wage laws will be complied with, which may result in an adjustment to the salary range.
