About the role

The ideal Store Associate should be passionate about sales, delivering exceptional service, and driving operational excellence. The primary responsibilities include supporting a positive customer-centric experience, maintaining store and print department appearance, adhering to sorting and stocking guidelines, scanning and investigating inventory lows and outs, and developing personal selling skills and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
  • Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services.
  • Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
  • Consistently maintains store and print department appearance to company guidelines and keeps a neat, clean, well-stocked environment.
  • Adheres to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
  • Fulfills freight processes and ensures the freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines.
  • Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Works to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided, including successful completion of Tech, Print, and other applicable training.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; and supports the company’s loss prevention efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

No previous experience required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access, are necessary. Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory is also required. Good interpersonal and communication skills to build selling relationships with customers and coworkers are essential. Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
  • Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions.
  • Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to build selling relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $17.75/hour to $17.92/hour, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
