Retail Store Associate

About the role

The Retail Store Associate position at Savers / Value Village involves creating an awesome experience for customers, donors, and other team members. This role is available both full-time and part-time.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure they have a positive shopping experience.
• Manage inventory, ensuring merchandise is displayed attractively and in good condition.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales and returns.
• Communicate effectively with donors to manage donations and ensure they are accepted and processed appropriately.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain a safe and welcoming environment in the store.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by Savers University.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations and point-of-sale systems.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $22.40 per hour, depending on job duties and position.
