Retail Store Associate

About the role

The Retail Store Associate will assist in the day-to-day operations of a best-in-class industrial supply retail store, reporting to the Store Manager. Responsibilities include driving product sales, promoting customer demos and training, managing merchandise receiving/shipping/storage, and maintaining store cleanliness and visual standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to branch performance against KPI goals and work proactively to improve results
• Process counter sales and check out customers
• Pick, pack, and ship warehouse orders
• Answer customer phone calls in a timely manner
• Restock, price, clean, and maintain visual standards
• Perform other duties as expected

Requirements

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in a similar role
• Experience using a computer for daily tasks
• Extensive verbal communication skills for customer and associate relations
• Ability to work closely with all levels inside the retail location
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, motor vehicle record, and background check
• Forklift experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Working Conditions

• High-SKU diverse retail store operations, handling items from small individual products to large material-handling equipment
• Use of material-handling equipment (MHE)
• Utilize computers and tools to monitor productivity and operations
• Lift, push, pull, and grasp up to 48 pounds while standing and kneeling
• Work in a high-traffic area
