Schedule & Location
Part-time, 28 hours per week; open availability required Monday-Sunday
Based at 414 W 14th Street, New York, NY 10014

What’s Required
- 2 to 3 years of experience in retail sales, music retail, or a related customer-facing role
- Demonstrated knowledge of musical instruments and music technology, particularly within Roland’s product ecosystem
- Experience as a musician, producer, DJ, sound engineer, or music educator is strongly preferred
Skills and Attributes
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Consultative customer-first approach to sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong product demonstration skills and the confidence to perform in a live retail environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team while also taking individual ownership of results
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented with strong time-management skills
- Comfortable using CRM systems and digital reporting tools
- Access to a reliable smart device for reporting and communication
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the store for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- Frequent physical tasks including bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and safely climbing ladders or step stools
- Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling merchandise and equipment up to 50 lbs (with or without assistance)
- Uses manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate POS systems, handheld devices, and read labels, screens, and store materials
- Navigates crowded sales floors/stockrooms and moves carts, racks, and equipment as needed
