About the role
The Retail Space Manager is responsible to ensure maximization of Atlanta Beverage Company distributed products and packages in every off-premise retail outlet. This position ensures the merchandising consistent with Atlanta Beverage Company shelf set standards. This position is also responsible to ensure compliance with the ABI WEA where related retail to space management and to control related costs.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the maximization of Atlanta Beverage Company distributed products and packages in every off-premise retail outlet.
- Effectively plans, assigns and directs work to ensure optimum efficiency in his assigned duties.
- Reviews monthly sets/schedules by account and takes corrective action as needed.
- Coordinates set times, reset and special instructions and on-going communications with the Sales Department.
- Maintains a current list of all sets and resets in assigned territory.
- Maintains updated file of all current pricing surveys from retail.
- Effectively trains all management and sales department personnel in space management.
- Effectively manages Territory Planner Program Fleetloader and Roadnet.
- Ensures Planograms are submitted to BudNet within established guidelines.
- Utilizes the use of the latest technology to ensure customer satisfaction, call frequency, and performance of team.
- Informs appropriate staff of all new accounts and accurately completes the correct forms in a timely manner.
- Effectively works closely with the VP of Sales regarding employee and Company issues with a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrates effective communication methods.
- Ensure Sales Managers and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions.
- Accounts reflect effective communication with all levels of Team.
- Responds timely to all oral and written communications.
- Maintains and encourage an open line of communication with both internal and external customers.
- Checks and responds to voice mail messages in a timely manner.
- Accurately and legibly presents written data to internal and external customers in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates effective customer service skills.
- Honors all business and personal commitments to our customers.
- Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.

Qualifications
- High school diploma, some college preferred.
- Five years experience in the beer industry required.
- Class A drivers license preferred.
- A clear motor vehicle record for the past three years.
- Working knowledge of WCS, Excel, IRI, PowerPoint software and Outlook; and must be proficient in SPP (Space Planning Plus Software).
- Professional sales presentation skills.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgement and initiative.
- Ability to deal with problems involving multiple solutions in standardized situations.
