Retail Service Specialist

Pay

Compensation Pay Range: $11.00 – $17.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums paid in amounts ranging per hour under specific circumstances. Premiums can be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, and multiple premiums may apply when criteria are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team execution of programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
• Answer telephone calls according to company policy.
• Process buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges in a friendly, efficient manner; issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods; stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before products leave the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain management approval for changes, and clock in/out per company policy.
• Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying and securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, activating night‑security lights, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
• Assume shift‑management responsibilities in the absence of an Assistant Manager or Store Manager.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification (desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.
