Retail Service Specialist

About the role

The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and in a friendly manner; issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods; process or stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules; approve changes/deviations; ensure team members clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, securing building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicles in designated secure area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Pay

Compensation Pay Range: $10.85 - $18.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
