Retail Service Merchandiser - NYC
About the role
The person that connects with our customers on a daily basis is our Retail Merchandisers. As a Retail Merchandiser, you play a key role in supporting supermarket partners by ensuring well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing in-line categories, seasonal displays, and promotional sections. This position is focused on helping customers drive profitable sales while representing IDI through strong in-store relationships.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales orders
- Stock shelves
- Maintain inventory levels
- Address basic store-level issues
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience in retail, grocery, food service, or merchandising is preferred
- Basic computer skills – able to use a log in and password and follow simple instructions
- Knowledge of product and/or experience with merchandising general merchandise or health and beauty care products preferred
- Ability to read and write short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
