Retail Seed Account Manager
About the role
This role will handle account management responsibilities for a national retailer in the Southeastern US region. The Seed Account Manager is a key asset in building and implementing long-term strategy with the account, including multiyear agreements, the yearly business cycle, and identifying areas where efficiencies can be gained. You will own relationships with the account, represent the account internally to Vylor leadership, communicate opportunities and issues to internal Pioneer, PhytoGen, and Brevant teams, and negotiate long-term and annual business items. This role also serves in a consultative manner, adding value by leveraging new insights and processes to differentiate impactfully. You will work closely with other Account Managers, retailer leadership, and have limited Brevant brand responsibilities, enabling growth across three well-respected and fast-growing seed brands.
Responsibilities
- Enable long-term vision with Vylor seed brands within the account.
- Annual strategic planning, goal setting, and tracking throughout the year.
- Provide customer support and issue resolution that cannot be handled at the local level.
- Build and manage relationships within Vylor and the account, connecting key contacts for growth.
- Forecast sales internally and externally.
- Reconcile Pioneer, PhytoGen, and Brevant seed programs, incentives, and payments.
- Drive sales and account growth by identifying new business opportunities.
- Manage Q4 prepay solicitation aligning with company and customer objectives.
- Develop joint marketing collaborations between seed brands and the customer.
- Handle risk management for Vylor.
- Collaborate closely with the Vylor seed licensing team.
- Organize corporate training events for employees regarding seed products.
Requirements
- Ability to think big, envision future possibilities, and translate them into breakthrough strategies.

- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, especially in sales with progressing leadership experience.
- Strong seed background is a plus.
- Proven business acumen with project management and financial skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Strong follow-up abilities and issue resolution management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $129,000 to $199,000. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Actual base pay is determined based on geographic location and candidate qualifications.
