Retail Scan Associate (WASHBURN WI 54891)

About the role

Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The data collected is analyzed to improve sales performance for both the product and the retailer. This is a permanent part‑time position with a focus on independent, flexible work and continuous physical activity throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Use a downloadable mobile app to scan barcodes throughout assigned stores (grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass‑merchandise locations).
• Provide quantity information for approximately 45% of the products scanned.
• Complete full‑store display scanning each week, meeting specified deadlines.
• Perform “Custom Projects” that require additional detail on main stocking locations, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store as needed.
• Maintain accuracy and quality in data collection to support client deliverables.
• Travel to stores using a reliable vehicle and submit reports on time.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto‑insurance coverage.
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb, reach 6 ft, and bend/stoop/stretch/stand.
• Capability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and leg movements for prolonged periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline‑driven self‑starter with reliable Wi‑Fi access.
• Tech‑savvy; comfortable using a mobile scanning app.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Schedule

This part‑time role averages 2–4 hours per week across all stores, with additional 1–2 hours per week per store for special projects, especially from January through June. Typical workdays for the Washburn, WI location (grocery store) are Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
