About the role

This permanent part‑time position involves visiting a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays, aisle locations, and end caps. The data collected is analyzed to improve sales performance for both the product and the retailer. The role offers workplace independence, flexibility in hours, and consistent weekly work.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned local retailers (grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass‑merchandise stores) each week for 52 weeks a year, including holidays.
• Use a downloadable mobile app to scan barcodes throughout the store, covering displays, aisles, and end caps.
• Provide quantity information for approximately 45% of the scanned products.
• Complete full‑store display scanning within the weekly deadline (typically 4–6 hours total per week, varying by store size).
• Handle “Custom Projects” that require additional detail on main stocking locations, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of work as needed.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working independently.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines to ensure timely data delivery to clients.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto‑insurance coverage.
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb, reach 6 ft, and bend, stretch, stoop, or stand.
• Capability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and leg movements for prolonged periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline‑driven self‑starter.
• Access to reliable Wi‑Fi and basic tech savviness.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
