Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using tools such as text messaging and social media
• Build and maintain lasting customer relationships
• Deliver personalized, high-quality service tailored to each customer’s preferences
• Provide honest, confident feedback on style and fit
• Develop fashion and product expertise through continuous learning
• Collaborate with the team to keep the department customer-ready: filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, applying price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Grow the customer base by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement (walking, standing, bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching) for 6–8 hours per shift to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Regularly handle bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including lifting them above head level
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.15. Commission structure varies by department: apparel, shoes, and accessories sales earn 3%–14.5%, while Beauty and Men’s Fragrance roles earn 3%. Performance-based incentives or bonuses may also apply.
