Retail Sales/Service Counter

About the role

Camera Corner Connecting Point (Tusker) is looking for an upbeat, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our fast-paced team and support other departments across our retail floor. This entry-level, hourly position is ideal for someone who enjoys technology, photography, and helping people. The right candidate will be patient, respectful, and comfortable explaining computers, cameras, and photo lab services. They will also assist customers with service logins and answer phone calls for a $300 million company. Our best associates bring positive energy to work, listen carefully, and never make customers feel rushed or embarrassed when they need extra help. We are looking for someone who can stay cheerful and attentive even when the store is busy. Previous experience is helpful but not required—we value a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and offer prompt, friendly assistance.
• Help customers select computers, cameras, accessories, and related products.
• Explain product features clearly without using unnecessary technical language.
• Provide patient, step-by-step assistance to older customers.
• Operate photo lab equipment and process print orders accurately.
• Help customers order prints, enlargements, photo gifts, and other photo products.
• Answer questions and troubleshoot basic computer, camera, and photo-order issues.
• Operate the cash register and handle payments accurately.
• Stock merchandise, organize displays, and keep the sales floor and photo lab clean.
• Manage several tasks at once while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Follow store procedures for safety, equipment operation, and customer privacy.
• Assist in other areas of the store when needed.

Service Desk Overflow Coverage

• Assist Service Department customers with device drop-off and pickup.
• Accurately document customer, device, and service information.
• Provide basic service updates and route technical questions to Service Department technicians.
• Assist with Service Department administrative duties, including parts ordering, tracking, and management.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic, patient, and genuinely helpful.
• Comfortable working with customers of all ages and technology skill levels.
• Able to explain instructions calmly and clearly.
• Willing to learn about computers, cameras, accessories, and photo lab services.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced retail environment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Retail, technology, photography, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.

Pay

$18 – $20 an hour

Schedule

Available to work a flexible schedule normally 8–5 during the weekdays.
