Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital channels using tools like text messaging and social media
• Cultivate and grow a loyal customer following through personalized service
• Provide honest, confident style and fit advice tailored to each customer’s preferences
• Develop fashion and product expertise to deliver informed recommendations
• Maintain a customer-ready department by fulfilling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, handling price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Expand the Nordstrom Rewards program by opening new customer accounts
• Collaborate with the team in a fast-paced environment
• Occasionally perform duties in other departments as business needs require

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Handling bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above head level
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

Hourly base pay: $17.25. Commission varies by department—apparel, shoes, and accessories sales earn 3% to 14.5%, while Beauty and Men’s Fragrance roles earn 3%. Performance-based incentives or bonuses may also apply.
