Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital channels using tools such as text messaging and social media
• Build lasting customer relationships and deliver service tailored to each customer’s preferences
• Provide honest, confident feedback on style and fit
• Develop fashion and product expertise through continuous learning
• Maintain a customer-ready department by fulfilling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, handling price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Grow the Nordstrom Rewards program by opening new accounts
• Occasionally perform duties in other departments as business needs require

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement (walking, standing, bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching) for 6–8 hours per shift
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Handling bulky or awkwardly shaped merchandise, including overhead lifting
• Regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

Base pay: $17.05 per hour. Commission varies by department: apparel, shoes, and accessories range from 3% to 14.5%; beauty and men’s fragrance roles earn 3%. Performance-based incentives or bonuses may also apply.
