Retail Sales - Lingerie - Downtown Portland

Nordstrom provides training on the bra fitting process and ongoing product knowledge through brand consultants.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bra fittings with customers in the fitting room by measuring for size and providing appropriate fit and style guidance.
• Build lasting relationships with customers through personalized service and honest feedback.
• Achieve sales goals in-store and digitally using tools like text and social media.
• Stay updated on fashion and product knowledge through provided trainings.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a customer-ready department through tasks like filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Handling bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Pay

The hourly pay range is $17.05 - $17.05, dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Commission varies based on merchandise sold: 3% to 14.5% for apparel, shoes, and accessories; 3% for beauty and men’s fragrance sales. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.
