Retail Sales Lead Apparel
About the Role
The Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead serves as the in-store expert for their business or department, delivering exceptional customer service and providing direction to teammates. This role requires leading by example, demonstrating empathy, resilience, and collaboration.
- Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
- Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to foster mutual trust, respect, and contribute to a strong recognition culture.
- Plans, organizes, and controls operations 30 days in advance with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, including workforce alignment for daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
- Strategically leverages teammates to ensure brand standards, program execution, and task delegation based on priority.
- Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
- Assists store leadership with general supervision in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Assists with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current teammates.
- Prioritizes coaching and development for oneself and others, providing hands-on guidance and explaining the "why" behind tasks and processes (e.g., Protection Plans, Scorecards, Loss Prevention).
- Leads by example to support the organization’s vision and helps teammates understand how their responsibilities align with organizational goals and customer experience.
- Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and treated with respect.
- Adheres to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures while maintaining confidentiality of Company information.
- Takes an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items up to 35 lbs. repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours continuously).
Pay
Targeted pay range: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
