Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using tools such as text messaging and social media
• Build and maintain lasting customer relationships
• Provide personalized, high-quality service tailored to each customer’s preferences
• Offer honest, confident feedback on style and fit
• Develop fashion and product expertise through continuous learning
• Collaborate with the team to keep the department customer-ready: fulfill orders, stock merchandise, re-merchandise displays, process price markdowns, and perform light cleaning
• Grow the customer base by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to handle bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above head level
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

Hourly base pay: $18.00.

Commission varies by department: apparel, shoes, and accessories sales earn 3%–14.5%; beauty and men’s fragrance sales earn 3%.
