Retail Sales Floor Support - Palm Beach Outlets Rack

About the role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you'll be part of a dynamic and energetic retail environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the sales floor is always ready for customers, assist with transactions, and maintain a clean and organized store.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to keep the sales floor "runway ready" through re-merchandising and straightening
  • Assist customers during cashiering with various transactions, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, and handling bulky items
  • Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting returned clothing
  • Keep the store clean and organized by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor and maintaining stockrooms
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all store technologies and adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards
  • Promote Nordstrom Rewards and other company initiatives

Requirements

  • Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Accountability, initiative, and a high level of personal responsibility
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
  • The ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs
  • Physical Requirements: Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers. Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Handling of bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head. Regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
