Retail Sales Consultant
About the Role
Retail Sales Consultants are responsible for delivering an extraordinary customer experience while achieving sales goals. This role involves educating customers on the latest data and entertainment technology, understanding their needs, and providing solutions through product demonstrations. The position may be commission-based with uncapped earning potential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and attain customer experience and sales objectives for the store.
- Sell all products and services offered by the Company, meeting all sales objectives.
- Handle administrative aspects of sales, including completing customer contracts, warranties, inventory management, and processing payments.
- Maintain strong knowledge of all products, accessories, pricing plans, promotions, and service features.
- Provide critical market feedback to the Store Manager regarding local competition and product/service needs.
- Handle service inquiries and provide efficient, courteous customer service.
- Ensure an extraordinary customer experience in a fast-paced team environment.
- Complete all aspects of opening and closing the store in accordance with written procedures.
- Submit all transaction journals on a daily basis.
- Assist with inventory maintenance.
- Perform product demonstrations and engage customers to meet their needs.
- May be required to wear a uniform.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier, and fax.
- Ability to work in other locations as business needs dictate.
- 1-3 years of retail, customer-facing, or sales experience preferred.
Pay
Retail Sales Consultants earn between $16.93 - $26.70 per hour plus uncapped commission opportunities. Top performers can earn over $62,460 per year, including $13,700+ in commissions if all sales goals are met. Individual starting salary may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
