As a Retail Selling Flex Colleague, you blend selling that delivers results with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You take the time to understand each customer’s needs, offering personalized recommendations and connecting them with the right products and services. Whether on the sales floor or in the fitting room, your warmth, product knowledge, and personal approach turn everyday visits into memorable moments. You stay focused on achieving selling goals by driving performance through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors. With every interaction, you build trust, meet sales targets, and inspire loyalty—making each visit both meaningful and successful.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers with a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations to build relationships and encourage repeat visits.
  • Review daily sales goals, learn about new arrivals, top-selling items, current trends, and promotions to engage, educate, and sell with confidence.
  • Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves as needed.
  • Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have everything they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you, often walking the package around and using the customer’s name.
  • Keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting so every customer feels welcome from the moment they walk in.
  • Support colleagues with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
  • Strive to improve every day, take pride in your work, achieve sales goals, and learn from others to deliver individual and store results.

Schedule

Flex Team Colleagues have minimum work requirements of 42 hours per quarter during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fiscal quarters (February–April, May–July, August–October). During the 4th fiscal quarter (November–January), you will be required to work a minimum of 60 hours during the quarter. Although there is an hours requirement by quarter, you are not required to pick up any shifts (though you may be assigned shifts during key days). The minimum number of hours may be subject to change, and a minimum number of weekend shifts may be required.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English.
  • Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
  • Resourceful and eager to start new ventures; able to adapt to changing priorities; works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle electronic devices, including handheld equipment, cash registers, and processing register transactions.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours; lifting at least 25 lbs.; stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching, including above eye level.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
