Retail Sales Associate FLEX

About the role

The CHEF’STORE Sales Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of customer service and adhering to US Foods' cultural beliefs. This position requires a combination of roles including cashier, stocker, and customer courtesy, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and managing inventory efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure impeccable customer service by interacting with customers and promoting US Foods' strategies.
• Utilize POS systems to perform sales and cash functions accurately and efficiently.
• Scan merchandise, weigh products, and verify barcodes to maintain accuracy in the system.
• Perform cart-to-cart transfers and inspect products for tampering before checkout.
• Verify cart contents and assist customers in their purchases.
• Assist in store opening and closing functions as directed by management.
• Manage inventory by replenishing shelves, rotating products, and reporting low stock levels.
• Operate reach trucks and pallet jacks to move and stock products.
• Use computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel for various tasks.
• Ensure the store is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Participate in inventory and cycle count processes as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Minimum one year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Desire and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Good common sense and logical thinking skills.
• Motivated and self-driven with the ability to multitask and work independently.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with office equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Physical abilities to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform other physical activities as listed above.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.

Pay

$21.622 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Flex 20-30 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
