Retail Sales Associate (Part-Time)

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage with every guest in a timely manner, assessing their needs and providing product and service knowledge with the highest level of guest service.
• Use suggestive selling and upselling skills with all guests.
• Have knowledge of garment construction, fabric, cut, and styles.
• Process transactions with accuracy involving cash as well as accepting other forms of payment (e.g., credit/debit cards) at the POS terminal, following PCI guidelines.
• Inspect merchandise prior to wrapping/bagging, verifying the product is satisfactory for guest purchase.
• Conduct refunds/exchanges as per company policy.
• Perform opening/closing store housekeeping, including checking supply levels, spot sweeping, wiping down countertops, dusting, and keeping all areas (including the cash wrap) neat and uncluttered.
• Maintain sales floor standards and merchandise guidelines to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Keep backrooms, fitting rooms, and other storage areas clean and organized as per company and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory prep, counts, and re-counts.
• Resolve guest issues at the store level within the scope of authority, notifying management and/or security for escalated issues.
• Follow loss prevention (LP) policies, using good guest service to help deter external theft.
• Alert the Coordinator/Liaison of issues in the store that need to be fixed.
• Identify short-dated items for appropriate disposition (e.g., markdown, transfer out).
• Determine if merchandise is damaged/salvage and prep for disposition by the Coordinator as per Retail and LP SOPs.
• Prep merchandise for mail out, including all accompanying paperwork with Coordinator signatures.
• Inform the Coordinator on duty of excessive overstock items, slow sellers, fast sellers, and guest requests.
• Answer phones by the third ring with a friendly greeting, including your name and the outlet.
• Perform all other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements

• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including mornings, swings, weekends, and holidays.
