Retail Sales Associate - Huntington Beach

About the role

Pet Food Express is looking for Sales Consultants who are sales‑driven, love pets, and are committed to delivering gold‑star customer service. You will proactively engage customers, recommend products, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and help create a memorable shopping experience for pet parents.

Responsibilities

• Engage & Sell: Proactively approach and engage both two‑legged and four‑legged customers, ask questions to understand needs, and use the Whole Life Approach to provide tailored recommendations.
• Learn & Educate: Participate in daily training and continuous education to stay current on new products, promotions, and the pet community; educate customers on product benefits.
• Operate & Maintain: Arrive on time with reliable attendance; operate the cash register efficiently; unload shipments, stock the store, and perform heavy lifting as needed.
• Store Care: Sweep, mop, and clean pet messes; perform additional duties assigned to support overall store operations.

• Previous retail and/or pet experience is preferred but not required.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $17.70‑$18.70 per hour. Starting salary is determined based on factors such as local market rate, candidate skills and experience, internal compensation practices, and budget constraints.

Flexible schedule required to meet business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
