Retail Sales Associate - Hardware (West Location)

About the Role

North 40 Outfitters in Great Falls, MT (West Location) is seeking a Full-Time Hardware Associate to join our team. As a Hardware Associate, you play a key role in the overall customer experience by providing outstanding customer service, generating sales, suggesting products, stocking and merchandising, maintaining a clean and organized department, and safeguarding company assets. The ideal candidate will have electrical and plumbing experience, along with strong organizational, time management, and merchandising skills.

This full-time position requires flexibility in scheduling, including working weekends and certain holidays, based on business needs. Business hours are Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and generate sales
• Suggest products to customers and educate them on North 40 brands
• Stock and merchandise products while maintaining a clean and organized department
• Safeguard company assets
• Work independently or in a team setting
• Multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Use ladders, rolling staircases, and pallet jacks as needed
• Lift and carry items: 0-25 lbs continuously, 25-45 lbs frequently, and 45-65 lbs occasionally; team lift anything over 65 lbs

• Previous merchandising experience is helpful
• Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques
• Physical ability to stand for 100% of work time and perform required lifting duties
