Retail Sales Associate / Design Associate (Home Furnishings)

About the role

As a valued member of our collaborative design team, you will leverage technology, tools, and resources innovatively to create a rich and engaging experience, helping customers craft homes and spaces they love. This is a non-commissioned, consultative selling environment where you’ll guide customers through the creative design process.

Schedule

This is a part-time role requiring 3 days a week, 8-hour shifts including weekends. You will work a schedule of Saturdays and Sundays, plus one floating weekday, with one weekend off every 4 weeks. During the week you have the weekend off, your two weekend shifts will be scheduled on your typical weekday off. Schedules are built out for an entire month and released a few weeks in advance to help you balance other priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with an individualized and consultative approach, understanding their needs while maintaining professionalism and respect.
• Collaborate with the team to provide the right solutions in a non-commissioned selling environment.
• Guide customers through the creative design process using technology such as iPads, floor planning software, and POS systems.
• Navigate high-paced customer traffic and manage both busy interactions and productive downtime.
• Continuously build knowledge and hone your craft with a lifelong learner mindset.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a customer-centric, fashion/design-savvy retail environment with a passion for design and engaging with customers on the showroom floor.
• Exceptional communication skills, confidence, attention to detail, and strong prioritization and organization abilities.
• High level of comfort navigating technology and virtual resources.
• Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.
• Physical and mental stamina to manage the pace of customer interactions and productivity during downtime.

Pay

Salary: $34,500–$38,000 per year ($27.64–$30.45 per hour), depending on experience.
