Retail Sales Associate / Design Associate (Home Furnishings)

About the role

As a valued member of our collaborative design team, you will use your consultative approach to help customers craft homes and spaces they love. This non-commissioned role focuses on providing tailored solutions in a high-paced, customer-centric environment.

Schedule

• Part-time, 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday), 8-hour shifts including weekends.
• Set monthly schedules released a few weeks in advance to help you balance other priorities.

Store Hours: Monday – Saturday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Sunday: closed).
Location: 762 Route 17 North, Suite A1, Paramus, NJ 07652.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with an individualized and consultative approach, understanding their needs while maintaining professionalism.
• Guide customers through the creative design process in a collaborative, non-commissioned environment.
• Leverage technology (iPad, floor planning software, POS system) to enhance the customer experience.
• Navigate high-paced customer traffic and manage both busy interactions and productive downtime.
• Continuously build knowledge and hone your craft with a lifelong learner mindset.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a customer-centric, fashion/design-savvy retail environment with a passion for design and customer engagement.
• Exceptional communication skills, confidence, attention to detail, and strong prioritization and organization abilities.
• High comfort level with technology and virtual resources.
• Physical and mental stamina to handle the demands of a dynamic retail environment.
• Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.

Pay

Salary: $37,000 - $42,000 per year ($29.65 - $33.65 per hour), depending on experience.
