About the role

As a Retail Selling Colleague, you blend selling that delivers results with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You take the time to understand each customer’s needs, offering personalized recommendations and connecting them with the right products and services. Whether on the sales floor or in the fitting room, your warmth, product knowledge, and personal approach turn everyday visits into memorable moments. You stay focused on achieving selling goals by driving performance through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors. With every interaction, you build trust, meet sales targets, and inspire loyalty.

This role goes beyond just being a cashier—here, the customer is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll also help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting so every customer feels welcome the moment they walk in.

Responsibilities

  • Begin each day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, top-selling items, and current trends and promotions.
  • Engage customers with a warm welcome, eye contact, and friendly conversations to build relationships and drive repeat visits.
  • Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
  • Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have everything they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you.
  • Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
  • Strive for daily improvement, take pride in your work, and contribute to individual and store sales goals.
  • Perform register transactions and use handheld equipment and computers as needed.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Comfort reading and understanding employment policies and safety rules in English.
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
  • Resourceful, adaptable to changing priorities, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable using electronic devices, including cash registers and handheld equipment.

Qualifications

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
  • Lifting at least 25 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Reaching, including above eye level.
  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Schedule

  • Full-time colleagues typically work 30 or more hours per week; part-time colleagues typically work 12–24 hours per week.
  • All schedules include weekend shifts as a requirement.
  • Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
