Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Sugarbush Resort is a year‑round destination offering skiing and riding, an award‑winning ski school, golf, disc golf, diverse dining venues, and a fully appointed Health and Recreation Center. The resort is seeking Retail Sales Associates to join the team, performing merchandising functions while delivering exceptional guest service. This is a full‑ or part‑time seasonal position running from November to May.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests of the facility.
• Greet and receive customers in a welcoming manner.
• Assist customers in finding the right product for their needs and desires.
• Know the products and services offered in your location as well as other Retail/Rental locations and the Resort as a whole.
• Drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
• Respond to customers' questions.
• Work with POS and process payments.
• Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Continually exceed guests' expectations and create memories for both guests and employees, not only in Retail but as a resort.
• Work independently on ideas that benefit your location.
• Perform other duties as required by the Retail Manager and Supervisor.
• Work closely with other departments at the resort to maintain consistency of product and pricing.
• Perform other duties within the Resort when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to meet federal, state, and local requirements for employment.
• Ability to pass a federal and state background check.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work at least 8 hours on your feet.
• Ability to function indoors and outdoors during extreme weather conditions.

Pay

Starting pay at $20/hour.

Schedule

Full or part‑time seasonal position from November to May; requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
