Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations to build relationships and encourage repeat visits.
• Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves as needed.
• Achieve daily sales goals through customer engagement and effective selling behaviors.
• Share loyalty program benefits and ensure customers have everything they need before ending each interaction with a sincere thank-you; often walk the package around and use the customer’s name.
• Keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting so every customer feels welcome from the moment they walk in.
• Review daily sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay current on trends and promotions to engage, educate, and sell with confidence.
• Support colleagues with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
• Strive to improve every day, take pride in work, achieve sales goals, and learn from others to deliver individual and store results.

Who you are

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
• Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
• Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
• Resourceful and eager to start new ventures; adaptable to changing priorities; able to work independently but thrive in team environments.
• Comfortable handling electronic devices, including handheld equipment, cash registers, and processing register transactions.

Essential physical requirements

• Perform tasks requiring talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Stand for at least two consecutive hours; lift at least 25 lbs.; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
• Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
