About the role
This isn’t your average retail channel. Our brick‑and‑mortar stores are hubs for connection, inspiration, and adventure. As a Retail Guide you will create memorable moments for every guest, sharing product knowledge and personal experiences to support them on their next adventure—big or small. You’ll chat about backpacks, jackets, adventure, and impact while championing our Do Good mission and inspiring others to become fans of the brand.
Responsibilities
- Champion authentic guest experiences: greet every guest, share your experience, offer help and expertise, educate guests on products, local highlights, and our mission, and embody Cotopaxi’s values of People, Innovation, and Adventure.
- Operations and impact: restock and destock products, keep the store tidy, open the store on time and close it at the end of the day, manage the point‑of‑sale system, and help create an uplifting, collaborative, and fun store culture.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Retail or similar high‑paced environment experience is a plus.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and excited to share our story and build deeper connections with guests.
- Humanitarian mindset aligned with our Do Good mission.
- Detail‑oriented and highly organized.
- Strong accountability and self‑guidance.
- Flexibility to work varying hours—at least two weekdays and one weekend day per week, including holiday season (e.g., the Friday after Thanksgiving) and for the duration of the location term.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb and remain on your feet in an active role.
Pay
$18.00 per hour plus bonus potential.
Schedule
Part‑time, non‑exempt. Varying hours with a minimum of two weekdays and one weekend day per week; availability during the holiday season is required.
