About the role
Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. The ideal candidate will connect easily with customers and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities as well as offer suggestions based on customer’s wants and needs
- Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention
- Absorb and apply knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training classes
- Assist with the opening/closing of retail store environments
- Handle cash transactions professionally
- Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos
- Support fellow sales associates when needed
- Work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to sell products consultatively and influence customer decisions
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment
- Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory

Pay
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.29 - $22.88/hour. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00.
Schedule
Flexible schedule which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
