Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. This role involves connecting with customers, managing store operations, and staying updated on product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities
• Offer suggestions based on customer needs
• Meet or exceed sales and customer experience targets
• Aid in store opening and closing
• Handle cash transactions
• Engage in workshops and special events
• Support fellow sales associates
• Participate in regular training classes

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to diverse customer bases
• Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Preferred some college experience with a focus in sales, business, or management
• One year of experience in related fields (Sales, Retail Sales, Service Industry, etc.)
• Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken

Benefits

• Variable targeted total compensation of $51,072 ($24.55/hr.)
• Annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00
• Up to 16 hours of paid time off per month
• Seven paid holidays per year

Pay

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.29 - $22.88/hour. The hourly rate may vary based on location and experience.

Schedule

This role requires working some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
