Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. The ideal candidate will connect with customers, understand their needs, and provide expert product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities as well as offer suggestions based on customer’s wants and needs
• Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention
• Aid in the opening/closing of retail store environments
• Handle cash transactions professionally
• Participate in workshops, special events, and product demos
• Support fellow sales associates as needed
• Stay updated on current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training
• May be required to work in other locations in the same geographical area

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative selling
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
• Multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds for stock room inventory

Benefits

• Variable targeted total compensation of $49,668 ($23.88/hr.)
• Annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00
• Up to 16 hours of paid time off per month and 7 paid holidays annually
