Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Cox Communications is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. This role involves evening, weekend, and holiday work, and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities based on customer needs
• Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention
• Aid in store operations, including opening and closing
• Handle cash transactions
• Participate in workshops, events, and product demonstrations
• Support fellow sales associates
• Stay updated on current and competitor products through training

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to diverse customer bases
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds for stock room inventory

Qualifications

• Some college experience with a focus in sales, business, or management
• One year of experience in a related field (Sales, Retail Sales, Service Industry, etc.)
• Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken

Pay

$18.32 - $27.45 per hour, with an annual incentive/commission target.
