Retail Sales Associate

Work for a non‑profit that cares! Sales Associates provide fast, friendly service to customers and donors, maintain thorough knowledge of cash‑register policies and procedures, process transactions quickly, assist with production and donations, and keep the store clean, safe, and accessible.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in stocking the sales floor, rotating stock, creating displays, and organizing merchandise.
• Answer telephone calls in a professional manner.
• Sort and price merchandise according to quality and pricing guidelines.
• Transfer merchandise from donor vehicles to the building and provide tax receipts to donors.
• Maintain a clean and organized interior and exterior of the donation center and store.
• Participate in and support fundraising for the AbleLight charity through register round‑ups and other events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 lb regularly (more occasionally) and stand on feet for up to eight hours.
• Ability to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
