Retail Sales Associate - 2954

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

Pay

$15.00 to $17.70 per hour plus commission. Associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $3.92 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Handle cash and negotiable items according to established protocols.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training.
• Assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution.
• Work with jewelry, electronics, tools, firearms (in FFL locations), and general merchandise.

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• Assist customers in exterior areas (parking lots, storage buildings, etc.).
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines.

Schedule

Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many locations are closed on Sundays.
