We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

Pay

$13.45 to $15.95 per hour plus commission. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.61 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Perform non-management open/close procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
  • Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle cash and negotiable items following company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Answer incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
  • Complete assigned training and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • Minimum age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work with people, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate; able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
