We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business.

Pay

$10.75 to $13.00 per hour plus commission. Associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $3.69 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
  • Perform non-management open/close procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
  • Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle cash and negotiable items per established policies and regulations.
  • Answer incoming calls according to company standards.
  • Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
  • Complete assigned training.
  • Assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution.
  • Work with jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and general merchandise.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age: 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Schedule

Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. Schedule is flexible based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.

Commission Plan Information

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
