About the role

The ideal Salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and has the ability to cultivate and grow a customer following, both digitally and in-store.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling, using selling tools including text and social media.
• Build lasting relationships with customers.
• Provide the best service to customers on their terms.
• Give honest and confident feedback to customers about style and fit.
• Seek fashion and product knowledge to build expertise.
• Work with the team to keep the department customer ready, which includes filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning.
• Grow relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
• Be flexible to occasionally perform work/duties in a department other than the one hired into.

• Physical requirements: continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers; frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling; handling bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head; regularly lift items up to 10 lb and occasionally up to 25 lb.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $14.25 – $14.25 (fixed).

Commission: Apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically earn 3%–14.5%; Beauty and Men’s Fragrance sales roles typically earn 3%.

Schedule

The hours and schedule for this position will vary by week depending on business needs; flexibility is required.
