What You Will Do

  • Assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy including entering patient information, filling prescriptions, and labeling.
  • Coordinate with the Retail Pharmacy and Inpatient Units to assist with medication distribution at bedside before discharge.
  • Work with case managers, nursing staff, physicians, and unit clerks to identify patients being discharged.
  • Collect and deliver prescriptions to patients at bedside, provide medication education, obtain signatures, and collect payment.
  • Transport medication orders and other related deliveries to patient homes and facilities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to current and potential customers in the retail pharmacy.
  • Sell medications and over-the-counter products to patients.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.

Experience Qualifications

  • Retail pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
  • Proven customer service experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Licenses and Certifications

  • LPT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech
  • Valid NJ Pharmacy Technician License upon hire
  • PHAR-C - Certified Pharmacy Tech
  • National Accredited Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, valid and in state
  • Valid NJ Driver's License upon hire

Pay Range

Your final base compensation will be determined based on factors such as employment status (Full/Part-Time or Per Diem), skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors, we consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.

Pay Range: $22.00/hour - $26.40/hour

About the Role

The Retail Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the daily operations of the Retail Pharmacy and assists in providing patients with medication at bedside before discharge. The position also involves transporting and delivering pharmacy orders to patient homes and facilities.
