Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, mixing, assembling, and packaging medications.
- Ensure accurate labeling and proper documentation of all drugs and devices.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy storage and safety regulations.
- Organize and update records to ensure proper tracking of medications.
- Support daily operations to improve efficiency and patient care.
Requirements
- Must demonstrate a high level of detail orientation.
- Ability to handle highly confidential, sensitive information with professionalism, tact, discretion, and integrity.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities; demonstrate resourcefulness and good problem-solving skills.
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is required.
Qualifications
- A certification or provisional certification from the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy is required. The provisional certification allows 18 months for the Pharmacy Technician to obtain certification by a board-approved, nationally-recognized organization that certifies pharmacy technicians.
