Retail Pharmacy Tech

Responsibilities

• Present a polite, considerate, and professional manner to all patients, staff, and support individuals.
• Become competent and knowledgeable in all software systems used by UCBC to process prescriptions and provide medically-integrated care.
• Aid in the proper processing of prescriptions, adjudicating claims, cashiering, and providing service to patients and employees.
• Be trained on REMS programs and comply with all guidelines therein.
• Maintain required licensure and continue education as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma
• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred / Georgia Pharmacy Technician License required
• Three years of related experience preferable
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical retail pharmacy operations
• Ability and willingness to work with potential exposure to toxic drugs and infectious patients
• Ability to operate a computer and various software
• Ability to work with precision and accuracy
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
