About the Role
A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position is full-time.
Responsibilities
- Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
- Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
- Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
- Assist in store inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.).
- Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).

- Operating inventory systems, store equipment, POS, and parts lookup systems.
- Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
- ASE P2 certified or equivalent ASE-ready knowledge.
- Advanced parts lookup, sourcing, and selling skills.
- Ability to provide advanced solutions, project assistance, and product recommendations.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of automotive systems (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.).
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute instructions from documents (safety rules, manuals, catalogs).
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Effective use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
- Proven sales ability with customer transaction experience.
- ASE certification preferred but not required.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; Spanish is a plus.
Pay
The estimated pay range for this role is $15.60–$17.35 USD per hour for new team members. The final rate depends on factors such as geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differentials (if applicable).
