About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate selling experiences for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.).
• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.

• Proficiency in operating inventory systems, store equipment, POS, and parts lookup systems.
• Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
• Advanced skills in parts lookup, sourcing, and project/product recommendations.
• Strong selling skills tailored to DIY customers.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of automotive systems (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.).
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute instructions from safety rules, manuals, and diagrams.
• Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work varied shifts (days, evenings, weekends).
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with experience in customer transactions.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay

The good faith estimate for this role is between $18.85 USD and $20.98 USD per hour for new team members. The rate depends on factors such as geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differentials (if applicable).
